Account & Settings
Everything about you lives on one page: your name and sign-in details, which modules show up, the year you're working in, a full data export, and the door out — from a simple sign-out to deleting the account entirely.
Account
Your name, email, password, and header text — reached via the profile icon in the navigation.
- Changing your email requires re-verification. Nortefy sends a confirmation link to the new address; the change takes effect once you click it.
- Header text makes the top of the app yours: whatever you type here — up to 20 characters, say My notebook — replaces the Nortefy logo in the header of every page. Clear the field and save to bring the logo back.
Module Visibility
Nortefy has more modules than most people use — and that's by design. This section lets you hide the ones you don't. Each module has an on/off switch; flipping one off applies instantly: its navigation link disappears, its dashboard card goes away, and its section drops out of the daily Log. One guard rail: at least one module must remain enabled.
Hiding is cosmetic, never destructive. Everything you logged stays safely on the server, and flipping the switch back on brings it all straight back.
Three modules — Purpose, Planner and Sleep — carry extra options of their own, folded behind a small settings row beneath the module's switch.
Purpose's four sub-toggles
Purpose is the one module you can trim from the inside. Behind its 4 settings row sit four section toggles, so you can keep the parts that speak to you and hide the rest:
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Foundation | Core principle card at the top of the purpose page. |
| Mindsets & Daily Anchors | Mindset pills and daily anchor pairs. |
| Purpose Matrix | Purpose, mission, vision and goals grid. |
| Three Hobbies | Make money, keep in shape, stay creative. |
At least one Purpose section must stay on, and the sub-toggles grey out whenever the parent Purpose switch is off. Turning Purpose off while sections are still visible asks first with a Disable Purpose? confirmation.
Body Battery — Sleep's sub-toggle
Sleep has one sub-toggle of its own: Body Battery. Body Battery is Garmin's 0–100 reading of your body's energy reserve. Turn it on and the Sleep charts and the daily Log gain a Body Battery entry alongside your sleep score; if your tracker isn't a Garmin — or simply doesn't report it — leave it off and it never appears.
It's off by default, greys out whenever Sleep itself is off, and — like everything here — turning it off never erases data you already entered.
Planner's two sub-toggles
Pin tasks to every page: flip it on and today's tasks follow you as a small floating Planner widget in the corner of every page, so you can check them off without opening the Log. It's off by default. See the floating dock for the full picture.
Focus timer: the per-task stopwatch on today's tasks. It's on by default; turn it off and the play buttons and time readouts disappear everywhere — but time you already recorded stays saved, and comes back if you turn it on again. See the focus timer.
Unlike the other switches here, these two are personal preferences, not per-year settings — they follow you across devices and stay the same whichever working year you're in.
Module visibility and the Body Battery setting are saved per working year. A module can be visible in 2026 but hidden when you switch back to 2025 — each year keeps its own picture of what you were tracking.
Working Year
Nortefy is year-scoped: one selected year decides which records every data page shows and saves — Purpose through Planner, and the daily Log too. The active year is always visible as a small badge in the navigation, next to the Nortefy wordmark.
This section is the only place to change it: pick a year — any from 2025 up to the current one — confirm the switch, and the app reloads into that year. Every page then reads and writes against it until you switch again or sign back in.
The working year resets to the current year on each new sign-in — so if the app ever seems to be showing "old" data, check the badge in the nav before anything else. You may simply still be visiting last year.
Export Data
Press Export all and Nortefy bundles everything — every module, across all years, not just the working one — into a single zip with one CSV file per table, ready for a spreadsheet or a backup folder.
Session & Account
The last section is the door out — three actions of very different weight:
Sign out
Ends the session on this device only. Your data stays on the server, waiting for your next sign-in.
Sign out everywhere
Ends your session on every device. Reach for this if you signed in somewhere you don't control.
Delete account
Permanently removes your account and every record associated with it. Guarded by a typed confirmation — see below.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Everything goes — habits, milestones, sleep records, and all the rest — and there is no grace period or recovery. The confirmation dialog asks you to type DELETE before the Delete forever button works. If there's any chance you'll want your history back, run Export all first.
Privacy & Terms
Nortefy's plain-language Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are linked in the app footer — short reads, no sign-in required.
